Shutter Love Tuesdays - "Twister!"

Twister!  I love this top photo of the Twister game on the track at the high school here in town.  Schuyler had such a great end of school year --- this was the epitome of it all!  Submitting it for the Shutter Love Tuesday Photo competition - a fun weekly place to submit your great photos.  See the link at the bottom of the page through their button.

Here is more info on the event:
CBS coverage of the Twister World Record
Inreport coverage of the Largest Twister Mat in the World!

This is another favorite - I got so many incredible shots that day!

Here is one of Mrs. Niquette and some of Schuyler's 2nd grade classmates.  I made an iMovie for the last day of school of a bunch of the photos from that day!  It was so fun to see their faces when their picture was on the big screen!

Have a Happy, Fun & Safe Summer!

Post it Tuesday!

This week is a tribute to post it notes which I used to collect when I found a "saying" that was worth collecting.  My friend Kathy Carroll from NH collected notes and would often place one on someone's desk proclaiming a job well done or have a happy day or anything positive.  I looked forward to receiving those notes from her and took that on myself to include a post it with every shipment or note that I would send in the mail.  Just an added positive note to make their day.  So look around and see if you can find a post it pad that fits your personality and maybe this technique will work for you.

Here is my current collection:

Always an easy one to fill out  :)

Distractions are upon us!

Love this one - definitely a "motto" of mine!

This was a Dilbert classic - can't find the original so I made it up - so funny!
Another Dilbert - definitely Dilbert.

LOVE dessert!  "Life is too short --- Eat dessert first" is also a favorite!

From my friend Tina --- (very sweet indeed)

And this one I always think of my friend Susan....  who taught me that wine is a fruit and needed for the daily pyramid of healthy eating.

So what is your favorite post it saying?

Winning Wine Wednesday

My choice this week:
2008 Chardonnay Central Coast

Wild Horse 2008 Chardonnay Central Coast

Price:
$16.00  /  Bottle
$192.00  /  Case
About This Wine
The newest release of one of our most renowned wines. Boasting bright and beautiful flavors of pear, apricot and pineapple. This crisp Chardonnay is perfect from beginning to end.
Wine Profile
Vintage: 2008
Wine Type: White Wine
Varietal: Chardonnay
Appellation: Central Coast
PH: 3.45
Alcohol %: 13.9
Tasting Notes: 94% Chardonnay, 5% Roussanne, 1% Viognier Our 2008 Chardonnay is a brilliant wine with aromas of apple, pear, and pineapple with a hint of vanilla toast. Full of green apple, peach, and lemon in the mouth, it is rich, crisp, and seamless from beginning to end.
Ratings: Wine Spectator - March 2010
Rated 87 Points
"Rich, intense, and full-bodied, with spice, baked apple, melon, and creamy pear notes that are fresh, clean, and vibrant."
Awards: San Francisco Chronicle - Silver Medal
Winemaker Notes: Grapes for this 2008 vintage came from small vineyards in Paso Robles, Santa Maria Valley, and San Benito County. The Paso Robles and San Benito regions offer warmer climate characteristics of tropical fruit and fuller mouth feel while the ocean influence in the Santa Maria Valley provides the uniqueness of citrus, pear, and apple coupled with good acidity.
Food Pairing: Enjoy this Chardonnay with aged cheeses or roasted lemon chicken.

How you were introduced?
An all time favorite wine.... first introduced by a roomate in Colorado - Sharon.  She loved this winery and all their wines.  I am a chardonnay fan so this one stuck with me.  It is recently on sale at our favorite Liquor 44 store in Hadley so we had the opportunity to drink some last ni

And a little history to share ...
