"Proof"

Here is a photo taken of Samantha and Lucas when we were out in the foliage taking the family photos. Lucas' tshirt is a classic and the smiles on their faces show happiness, so this photo really says a lot. :)

Remembering that day when the family assembled with Josh, our "adopted" son, one of Stephen's best friends who lives with us about 1/3 of the time in Stephen's room. Josh has been so great with our family, helping out when needed with Oakley and Schuyler and really has fit into our family so well. Lucas is the other one to mention and thank for that day. I set up the tripod, framed the 2 areas for the photos and we all meandered our way in place as Lucas kept his hand on the button taking about 50 photos that day! I made a little video of the photo shoot as it was really fun to watch us all get into place and Schuyler squirm away. It was such a beautiful fall day!

So here is the tshirt sighting - a great self portrait of Sam & Lucas and my fave of the family photos as it includes Oakley!

Proof of happiness.
God wants us all to be happy.
You just need to find it within yourself and within those around you.

Going, going, gone & Limo parking?

A tshirt sighting in Temecula Valley at the Oak Mountain vineyards - our host and "wine pourer" lady is wearing this tshirt with the saying on the front with a wine glass sequence. Very cute and worthy of a post!

AND I had to post this photo of the "END" sign from Mount Palomar - where they also state "Limo parking only" - quite comical indeed.

The theme of the week - LISTEN!

Crazy week, lots of travel and work goals have me crazy, challenging me and I really am ready to slow down. Looking forward to a break with our San Diego trip coming up, but realizing it is time to take a little step back and listen - - to my family, to my friends and make adjustments to be "heard" and mellow out my life once again.

So this post is dedicated to "listening".

First - Stephen's tshirt that is just so appropriate for today.

Next words that fit the theme from a not as appropriate rapper Talib Kwelli and his song "Listen": "Get it now, get it fast, get it right, Get it big, get it live, get it done, get it tight"

Then a music video from one of my favorite artists - Beyonce - "Listen"

Cancer Awareness - with a Twist - on a tshirt!

Detra and I were sitting in the general session of the National RFL Leadership Summit in Indy this past weekend, and sighted this tshirt statement on a University of Hawaii volunteer in the crowd. I had to take the photo to share.... a little xrated for my blog, but it surely gets the attention of our college youth!

Gardner Logistics Tshirt - Celebrating 15 years of a top notch Relay

This Relay has been a top Relay in the US for so many years.... at least 10! I have to look back in the historical files for sure... but Fran and this wonderful woman with him have been the fuel behind the logistics of this event that has been more than 500K in fundraising and close to 1 million for the past few years! Great volunteers and a solid staff partnership -- really setting the pace for New England!

Pic #1 - the Tshirt (how cool is that?!)

Car Wash with the Cub Scouts!

What a beautiful day to be outside and to see Schuyler with his friends raising money for the Cub Scouts - Car Wash, Bottle Drive and donating items to fire victims (10 families lost their homes in a fire).

Here are a couple great photos from the day!

AND a very cool tshirt sighting "10 reasons why I wear pink" on one of the older boys, that I thought was just so cool.....

Say it with a Tshirt!

From the Boston marathon "athlete's village" - this girl had a number 13,000 plus and had a Timberman hat on - so you know she is hooked. Not quite sure why the 100% BS comes from, but I smiled when I saw it.....

Our friend (11 years old) Carson had this shirt on as he jumped, skied and rocked Sugarbush. He skis better than 90% of the adults I know... and is A LOT of fun to ski with! The shirt is from Whiteface, but Carson skis Mad River Glen, VT ( on a daily basis, and his dad is a former National Team member and is better than 99% of the adult skiers in the country!

"The saying on the MRG tshirt / bumper sticker is "Mad River Glen - Ski it if you can!", and they mean it! That gives you an idea of the terrain these kids ski every day.... Skiing the "bush" was great, although I was still pretty sore and not moving real fast in the bumps!
