"Stingers" Cold Spring Soccer Club U10 Fun!

Scavenger Hunt Sunday
Step 1 - look at the list to select photos
Step 2 - either take photos to meet the theme or look at the recent photos you have taken and see what interpretations you can come up with
Step 3 - Share your photography & share the love!
Here are my interpretations this week!  :)

Words

Jared was running so fast and right AT me....  to beat the opponent to the ball that I could read the words on his jersey!  Proud to be a part of Belchertown Soccer and the Pioneer Valley Junior Soccer League- Cold Spring Club is our local affiliation.  A great group of boys and some very competitive soccer!  The other cool thing about this photo is that Jared's dad is one of our coaches and he is standing in the background watching his son in action!

Orange

Stingers!  A Sea of Orange!  You can't miss it in all my photos -- but this is my favorite of the weekend! Schuyler vs the player - the balance of the 2 opponents going for the ball and the intensity of the entire scene. :) The foliage was bursting this weekend so the orange leaves on the trees with the yellows are a great backdrop for the photos!  All the boys have orange socks and Chris' cleats are orange too!

Under
Over, under and all around!  Zach LaJeunesse doing a flip/cartwheel gets a upside down - under view of the world!  You have to love the smile on Tony's face looking at Zach in action! ;)

Fly

I love to have the boys jump using the energy for the last photo after some serious team photos today --- these boys can really FLY!  Gotta love Chris I in the front in a full spread eagle! ;)

Always on the Bright Side

It was a tough start to the season with quite a few losses early -- where the boys learned to work as a team and look to the bright side.  Their hard work surely paid off winning all six of their last games played!  Chris (top) & my son Schuyler (bottom) were new to this team this year after most of their team went to the U11 group.  I am so proud of both of them for what they have brought to the team. They really had a great year with this group of boys & families!  These 2 "bright" photos taken into the sun have such energy, motion & inspiration --- I chose them for this last category.  Hope you like them as much as I do!

Thanks for stopping by -- please leave a comment if you like my photos!  This was the last soccer weekend of the fall season.  Next is indoor soccer!  Get ready --- ski season is almost here!

The Belchertown Parade 2011

This week's Scavenger Hunt photos are all selected from my gallery of photos taken at the Belchertown Parade - during Fair weekend.  This is the BIG community event of the year here in town where all the community comes to see the parade and be a part of the community pride and spirit.  Here are my selected photos based on the categories for the week.  IF you want to see the entire collection of more than 700 photos --- please link here.  I truly got some amazing photos that day!  :)

The uniforms, the uniform rows of the band members with the matching hats is beautifully ABSTRACT

This baton twirler did cartwheels while the baton went around and round!
She was amazing!
She could just make you dizzy watching her!

Stars

The were all stars that day - the Belchertown Parade 2011

"My Star"
I could feel the pride beaming from my face that day, not knowing that my son would be carrying the flag and leading the Pack at the parade.  He looked so great and so proud to be in front leading the way.  It was truly a great moment in his life.

Yoga!

Yoga is my new retreat from hamstring tightness, achilles pain, back aches and more.  It is a great way to relax, stretch out your body and feel the power and balance to keep working on those poses!

It started out through DailyMile where Sandra in VT shared Chaz Yogamazing experience and it spread into our group with fun notes that Chaz hasn't come to visit yet.  I finally dove in when getting ready to do the 50 miler in Vermont and decided to do a stretch of 10 days to get into the routine and feel good about the state of my body.  I had some aches and pains after sitting for long periods.  Yoga truly has helped.

My routine is to watch a Yogamazing podcast (daily is the goal) - when I have the time in my day -- before or after running or at the end of the day when all the house work is done.  I find myself at the bus stop and soccer working on my poses and stretching as much as possible - even to get in 5-10 minutes a day.  I love logging my experiences on DailyMile and have got others to join me in the #YogaStreak.  I hope that someday I can just have it my daily routine - get up - yoga - run.  :)  Life is good.

Namaste.
