Race #1 (of the six race Mountain Goat Quest) in the La Sportiva Mountain Running series was at Mt. Wachusett, Saturday morning
4.3 miles mostly uphill with 2 downhill sections. It was very interesting to run uphill most of the time. Definitely a new test of my system! The weather was perfect and the runners were pretty competitive, hailing from CMS (central mass striders) and BAA (Boston Athletic Association). I was pretty happy with the results and look forward to the next one this coming weekend... Pack Monadnock 10 miler!

A course record was set by a 20 year old BAA girl - 29:27 - very fast indeed!
